Frequently Asked Questions

General Leveling & Lift Kit Questions
I WANT MY TRUCK LEVELED, WHAT KIT SHOULD I BUY?

The best way to find out which lift kit you need is to measure from the ground to the top center of the your wheel well in the front and in the rear. Subtract the 2 numbers and that is the amount you need in order to level your truck.

CAN I USE YOUR KIT ON TOP OF ANOTHER SUSPENSION LIFT KIT?

Our suspension lift kits are designed and tested to work with factory suspension components ONLY and should never be used on any vehicles with a suspension lift kit already installed. However, our suspension lift kits can be used in conjunction with a body lift.

WHY DO YOU OFFER YOUR FULL LIFT KITS WITH A HIGHER FRONT LIFT THEN REAR?

The reason why we offer our full lift kits higher in the front is to get rid of some of your factory rake. Because your rear is higher than the front from the factory, by raising your truck an uneven amount, it will make it look more level and look much better.

WHAT IS AN OFFSET SPACER AND WHY DO I NEED IT?

These spacers are offset meaning that they will maintain your stock factory shock angle. This is important because as you lift your truck the angle of your shock may cause your upper control arm to touch your spring. Having an offset spacer will keep this from happening and also keep your ball joints from wearing out prematurely.

WILL INSTALLING YOUR KIT AFFECT MY FACTORY WARRANTY?

Most of our lift kits do not affect your factory warranty because there are no permanent modifications to your vehicle. Dealerships in certain regions have their own policies when it comes to vehicle modifications covered under factory warranty. We always recommend that you check with your local dealership about whether adding our kit will void your warranty.

WHAT WARRANTY DO YOU OFFER ON YOUR PRODUCTS?

Each of our kits come with a LIFETIME WARRANTY. We guarantee that all of our parts come free of manufacturer defects and we will replace any defective item or broken part free of charge.

Bolt-On Lift Kits
HOW DO BOLT-ON LIFT KITS WORK?

The spacer included will lift your truck the advertised amount by extending your spring. This allows you to maintain your factory spring rate and allows for a precision amount of lift at a great price. We specially designed this kit for flush fitment and to compliment the looks of your truck. The bolts of the kit are pressed in and are also completely flush with the spacer as well.

WHY IS THE SPACER IN THE KIT THAT I RECEIVED NOT THE SAME THICKNESS AS THE LIFT THAT I ORDERED?

The lift amount and the spacer thickness will NOT be the same, in order to lift your vehicle the advertised height, it is necessary that the spacer is less than the lift amount. The suspension (lower control arm) compounds the amount of lift due to both its length and angle and that is the reason why the spacer needs to smaller than the lift amount.

ARE THE SPACERS COATED?

Yes, the spacers are teflon coated and will never lose its finish. Anodized aluminum kits will change color over time. Painted or powder coated steel chips and takes out chunks of the finish. However, teflon resists all of the elements plus gives you a hard coating that is scratch resistant and will last forever.

DO I NEED LONGER SHOCKS FOR THIS KIT?

Longer shocks are not required with this lift kit. The dealer recommends that you replace your shocks every 50,000 miles. If you haven’t done so yet it is recommended to replace it all at the same time.

HOW DIFFICULT IS THE INSTALLATION. HOW LONG DOES INSTALL USUALLY TAKE? CAN I INSTALL THE KIT MYSELF?

Installation is not difficult since most* of our lift kits do not require any special tools such as a spring compressor. Most of our kits are “bolt-on” applications and installation can be completed by almost anyone with some experience working on suspensions. Average installation time should take 1-3 hours depending on experience of the installer. Although this kit was designed for the home installer, it is always recommended that a professional installs your kit.

*For our Torsion Lift kits, a Torsion key will be required.

Torsion Lift Kits
DO I NEED ANY SPECIAL TOOLS FOR INSTALLATION?

Yes, in order to install our Torsion kits on your application, you must use a Torsion Key Unloader/Puller. This is very similar to a gear puller which you can rent at any auto specialist store. We recommend either a 5 or 7 ton puller for these kits. We also offer this tool separately on our site.

HOW DO I ADJUST MY TRUCK FROM 1″-3″?

Your factory adjuster bolt will allow you to personalize your front lift in order to raise your truck up an exact amount. Our kit will give you about 2″ of lift after installation, using the adjuster bolt, every full turn in either direction will increase or decrease your right height 1/8″.
